Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. Role involves working at various pharmacy workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Support immunizations where allowable by law and with required training
Educate patients about importance of vaccines
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Customer service orientation with friendly manner
Good communication skills including verbal and written
Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical ability to stand, lift, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in home store and across market in other locations
