Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, patients' prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. The role involves working across various pharmacy workstations and contributing to safe and effective pharmacy operations.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Show empathy and genuine care creating heartfelt and personalized moments
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable by law

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum educational requirement, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Customer service orientation: actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Communication skills: use and understand verbal and written communication
Mathematical reasoning: ability to use math to solve problems like determining tablet counts and day's supply
Problem resolution: identifying challenging interactions and choosing best course of action
Physical demands: mobile and remain upright for extended periods

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
