Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist in ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly and accurately, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. The role involves working across various pharmacy workstations and may include immunization support where permitted by law.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill patients' prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow procedures at pharmacy workstations
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Support immunizations where allowable by law
Educate patients about vaccines
Monitor for adverse reactions
Manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
Must be at least 16 years of age (if state doesn't mandate)
Must have high school diploma or equivalent (if state doesn't mandate)
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Problem resolution
Physical demands including lifting up to 20 lbs, standing upright for extended periods, reaching overhead, stooping, etc.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
