Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Role involves assisting patients, ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment, maintaining inventory, and potentially supporting immunization services where permitted by law.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Support immunizations where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification
Educate patients about importance of vaccines
Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board doesn't mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board doesn't mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks
Customer service orientation

Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution
Physical demands including mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, and fine motor skills

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
