Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Responsible for assisting patients, ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment, and contributing to safe pharmacy operations. Requires completion of company training program and state licensing requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers with exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and workflow procedures
Show empathy and genuine care for patients
Complete basic inventory activities
Support immunizations where allowable by law
Educate patients about vaccines
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
Must be at least 16 years of age if state doesn't mandate minimum age
Must have high school diploma or equivalent if state doesn't mandate minimum education
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service skills with friendly manner
Communication skills including verbal and written
Mathematical reasoning ability
Problem resolution skills
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items, reach overhead, and perform fine motor tasks
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
