Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health offering part-time, onsite opportunities to positively impact patient health and deliver compassionate care while adhering to professional and ethical standards.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients
Managing all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
Promptly, safely, and accurately fill patient prescriptions
Providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations
Completing CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and necessary state requirements
Building clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge
Maintaining ethical conduct and patient confidentiality

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Attention and Focus — the ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
Customer Service Orientation — actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
Attention to customers’ reactions, and responding appropriately
Communication Skills — use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Mathematical Reasoning — the ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
Problem Resolution — ability to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong, recognizing problems
Choosing the best course of action in a complex situation with several available options
Physical demands include remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods of time
bending the spine at the waist
occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
