Position Summary: CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Back-End Dispensing Team in Portland, ME. Our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy supports patients with complex conditions such as autoimmune diseases, hepatitis, HIV, oncology, and organ transplants. As a member of the back-end dispensing team, you'll play a critical role in the medication fulfillment process, ensuring prescriptions are processed, packaged, and prepared for delivery with precision and care. Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM — No nights or weekends!
Job Responsibility:
Accurately fill and label prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy regulations and protocols
Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation
Perform quality checks to verify accuracy of filled prescriptions
Support inventory management, including restocking and tracking medication supplies
Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Assist with data entry and prescription processing as needed
Requirements:
Eligible for pharmacy technician licensure in the state of Maine
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance-related fields
One year as a pharmacy technician
High School Diploma or equivalent
Nice to have:
Previous pharmacy technician experience, especially in a fulfillment or dispensing role
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with pharmacy systems and technology
CPHT Certification a plus in states that do not require certification
