Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. The position involves assisting with prescription fulfillment, customer service, inventory management, and potentially immunizations where permitted by law. The role requires compliance with state pharmacy board requirements and completion of company training programs.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
Complete company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation
Show empathy and genuine care for patients
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Support immunizations where allowable by law and with required training

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum educational requirement, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled in high school
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service orientation with friendly manner
Good communication skills including verbal and written communication
Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical ability to meet job demands including lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, reaching, stooping, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
