Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in delivering operational and service excellence at CVS Health stores. Duties include assisting patients, ensuring safe prescription fulfillment, managing inventory, and contributing to a high-performing team while maintaining compliance with legal and professional standards.

Job Responsibility:

Following all company SOPs
pharmacy workflow procedures for safe prescription fulfillment
assisting patients at pick-up and over the phone
solving or escalating patient problems
completing inventory activities
embracing feedback and expanding technical knowledge
voluntarily traveling to stores as needed
ensuring compliance with laws and CVS policies
delivering health care services such as immunizations where permissible.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
must be at least 16 years of age
must have a high school diploma or equivalent
state-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
actively look for ways to help people
use and understand verbal and written communication
ability to use math to solve a problem
identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
physically capable of meeting demands such as being mobile, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to work in the home store or across the market as needed.
