Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. Responsible for assisting patients, ensuring prescriptions are filled accurately and safely, and contributing to a positive patient experience through compassionate care and service.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill patients' prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Complete company training program
Satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Show empathy and genuine care creating heartfelt and personalized moments
Offer immunizations and other services
Complete basic inventory activities
Support immunizations where permissible
Educate patients about importance of vaccines
Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions
Review and collect patient information
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
