Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, you will play a critical role in delivering operational and service excellence within the store. Pharmacy Technicians assist with prescription fulfillment, contribute to pharmacy workflow, and offer health services such as immunizations while maintaining compliance with law and company policies. Additionally, they ensure positive patient experiences through compassionate care and teamwork.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health by following company SOPs
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (e.g., production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for accurate prescription fulfillment
Delivering positive patient experiences by offering services, solving problems or escalating issues
Completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Complying with relevant laws and regulations to ensure safety and compliance
Delivering additional patient health care services where permissible, such as immunizations.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.
