The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the preparation, distribution, control of sterile and non-sterile oral and injectable medications under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and participation in Division programs. There must be a final pharmacist check of all technician work involved in the preparation and/or dispensing of medications. Works toward effective, efficient use of all pharmacy resources. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. Other responsibilities include filling automated dispensing cabinets in patient care areas, checking for expired medications, and maintaining pharmacy inventory.

Requirements:
California Pharmacy Technician License, CPhT required
1+ year related experience preferred
Knowledge and application of basic math skills including ratios and proportions
Knowledge of various Pharmacy dispensing systems and equipment
Minimum typing skills of 30 wpm with knowledge of various computer applications and systems
Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician School or Advanced Degree preferred
