Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role supporting pharmacy teams to deliver health care services, fill prescriptions accurately, provide patient care, and contribute to safe pharmacy operations at CVS Health locations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
  • Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
  • Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
  • Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
  • Complete basic inventory activities
  • Support immunizations where allowable by law
  • Educate patients about vaccines
  • Monitor for adverse reactions

Requirements:

  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
  • If state board doesn't mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years
  • If state board doesn't mandate education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
  • Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks

  • Physical mobility and ability to lift up to 20 lbs

Nice to have:

  • 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
