Job Description:

CVS Health has an exciting new opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team in Birmingham, Alabama. The team specializes in HIV, Hep-C, MS, Oncology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Gastrointestinal diseases. If you are a dedicated, motivated, and patient driven Pharmacy Technician and enjoy helping people on their path to better health, this may be the role for you.

Job Responsibility:

Lift and ship prescriptions up to 30 pounds
Ensure medication has been filled correctly
Accurately enter prescription information
Contact patients to arrange delivery
Perform refill reminder calls
Accurately fill medication orders
Prepare orders for delivery
Pack/ship medication orders via various carriers
Maintain adequate inventory
Manage inventory functions
Help walk-in customers

Requirements:

6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience
Actively registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Alabama
Verifiable High School diploma or GED required

Nice to have:

Previous customer service experience
Previous prior authorization experience
Previous medical billing experience
Specialty Pharmacy experience
PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
