Requirements

Must have at least three years of experience in the practice setting or area of expertise they are teaching in (i.e. hospital, retail, closed door, etc.)
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be a graduate from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the specialty field or the subject area in which they teach
California licensure or registration to practice as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician required

Job Responsibility

Delivering class and/or clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods
Developing daily lesson plans
advises and tutors students
Maintaining current and accurate attendance and grade records
Remaining current in applicable program teaching field
Participating in faculty meetings, professional growth activities in the respective field and two (2) in-service training sessions annually
Participating in college activities such as in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings
Strives for student success by providing quality instruction that results in students' achievement of course and program objectives, retention of students, and prepares students for entry-level positions in the healthcare field

Job Responsibility

Assists customers by responding to specialty product inquiries and providing technical advice or recommendations for specialty needs
Maintains specialty retail store operations by completing inventory management tasks, restocking shelves, and organizing displays
Communicates with customers and shares announcements and/or promotions on the latest product releases, features, and technology trends
Compiles customer complaints, inquiries, or concerns for senior managers to help improve future customer service outcomes
Monitors key sales metrics related to daily, weekly, and monthly sales revenue, units sold, average transaction value, and conversion rates
Operates within the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions, handle cash, and operate payment terminals

Determines how best to prioritize tasks and manage workloads to ensure the timely completion of customer requests and specialty retail services
