Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy Services, performs a wide variety of Pharmacy duties to meet the needs for patients in the hospital. Pharmacy Technician duties include filling routine drug orders for unit dose medications, refilling medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets, performing Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding. Other duties include repackaging of medication into unit dose barcoded packages, replenishes code carts drug supply and performs inventory duties for the Central Pharmacy operation.

Performs all duties and responsibilities for Central Pharmacy Medication Dispensing
Performs all duties and responsibilities for Automative Dispensing Machine (ADM)
Perform all duties and responsibilities for Extemporaneous Non-Sterile Compounding and Oral Syringe preparation
Perform all duties and responsibilities for medication repackaging
Performs all duties and responsibilities for Code Cart exchange, Code Cart Trays, and Transport Boxes
Performs all duties and responsibilities for Non-Sterile Hazardous Drug compounding
Performs all duties and responsibilities for Sterile Products production if trained in that area
Performs all duties and responsibilities dealing with customer service, quality assurance, inventory management, maintaining a orderly, clean and safe environment
Performs anything else deemed necessary by their supervisor or Pharmacist on duty
Requirements:
High school level of education
Minimum of 3 months work experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred
Hospital pharmacy experience desirable
Pharmacy Technician – Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy
