General Summary: The Pharmacy Technician will be stocking, filling, and distributing patient medication orders under the supervision by a registered pharmacist following established policies and procedures. They will also perform sterile compounding. The responsibilities below describe the essential duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. Job Responsibility:
Medication preparation & delivery & OR medication preparation & delivery
Enteral cart fill, automated dispensing cabinet stocking, delivery, and maintenance
Inventory control
Code tray production
Simple nonsterile compounding and Sterile compounding
Use of repackaging/automation technology and training
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
Current registration as a pharmacy technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy
Current national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
1+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Strong teamwork skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn effective techniques and processes resulting in few errors or defects
Basic knowledge of basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow direction
Basic pharmaceutical calculations
Basic knowledge of medical & pharmaceutical terminology
