This is a Part-time shift which requires employee to work 5 days out of a 2-week period. Rotating AM/PM shifts. AM is either 0600-1430 or 0630-1500. PM shifts are either 1330-2200 or 1400-2230. Tech will work every other weekend, rotating holidays.
Job Responsibility:
Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications
Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal recommendations
Develops competence in entering medication orders in the computer system and/or processing medication requests via the computer system
Develops competence in managing phone calls from customers and team members
Develops competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation as required
Complies with legal, regulatory, accreditation standards
Requirements:
Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board needs to be obtained within 2 years
Pharmacy Technician Certified (ExCPT) issued by the National Healthcareer Association needs to be obtained within 2 years
If working in WI: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician through Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, application must be submitted prior to start date
If working in IL: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician through Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, application must be submitted prior to start date with license obtained within 60 days of date of submission
