Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician position focused on prior authorization requests, serving as the initial point of contact for members, providers, and customers. Responsible for determining when complex requests need pharmacist assistance and maintaining accurate documentation of approvals and denials.

Job Responsibility:

Initial point of contact for Prior Authorization requests from members, providers, and customers
Determination if complex requests should be transferred to a pharmacist
Maintaining complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials

Requirements:

1+ years' experience in customer service or call center environment
Must be able to work from home
Have high speed internet
Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Proficiency pronouncing drug names and diagnosis
Ability to recognize medical terminology
Navigation skills for multiple software systems
Keyboarding skills
Schedule flexibility including rotations through nights, weekend and holiday coverage

Nice to have:

Previous experience in pharmacy or healthcare industry
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Pharmacy Technician License
