Job Description

The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff. Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task. Estimated pay range for this position is $20.02 - $26.03 / hour depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • NHA Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience (or equivalent setting).
  • Sterile products preparation experience or medication history experience or specialty area experience (i.e. Pediatrics) PTCB or ICPT Certification required.
  • Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years
