Pharmacy Tech

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation of all sterile parenteral and irrigation products
• Exchange all unit-dose cassettes
• Utilizing a computerized fill list, provide a 24-hour patient supply of unit-dose medication in an individual cassette
• Complete the accurate charge/credit notation for use by the data entry clerk
• Accurately and legibly label all medication containers per established label format
• Properly completes all extemporaneous pre-pack and manufacturing logs
• Replenish stock for the unit dose cassette areas, and return credited medications for future use
• Participate in technician cassette checking procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least six (6) months of experience in hospital pharmacy with unit dose cassette filling required
• IV additive experience, or equivalent of one year general pharmacy experience, required
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure required
• Fire Safety card required
