Pharmacy Tech Specialist

• Establish and maintain effective communications between the Anticoagulation Clinic and patients, the referring provider office, and Anticoagulation Clinic staff
• Collect laboratory results from various outside sources and record these results in the permanent medical record
• Schedule patient appointments and provide reminders to patients
• Initiate chart documentation of patient encounters through gathering appropriate objective information
• Assist the clinic pharmacist(s) with monitoring and recording the operations of the Anticoagulation Clinic through developing and running routine reports, collecting data, running statistics, monitoring productivity and updating metrics and dashboards
• Maintain and provide established education materials to patients
• Conduct patient medication history and update appropriately in the electronic medical record
• Communicate specific patient questions/concerns to overseeing pharmacist(s)
• Additional retail pharmacy responsibilities as needed: retrieval of prescriptions from patients
• data and prescription entry
• prescription filling, general phone/customer service involving refills and resolving insurance issues
• working with the cash register, or other duties as assigned

• Registered/licensed Pharmacy Tech in the State of NE required prior to start date
• Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing is required after one year from the registration/licensure date
