Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician Lead is a key member of the pharmacy leadership team, assisting the Director of Pharmacy and pharmacy managers in the planning, management, and supervision of all operational activities related to the pharmacy technician staff. The Pharmacy Technician Lead functions in an advanced practice role as a pharmacy specialist within the pharmacy and on interdisciplinary teams. The Pharmacy Technician Lead, with pharmacy department leadership, will coordinate all functions related to technician activities that maintain and improve workflow, safety and efficiency to ensure quality distributive processes and services. The Pharmacy Technician Lead is responsible for technician training, competency assessment, disciplinary action, regulatory compliance, scheduling, policy/procedures, oversight, and quality improvement activities. The Pharmacy Technician Lead may direct and coordinate technicians across multiple sites. Must be self-motivated with effective organizational skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech license within the state of Colorado
  • 4 years pharmacy experience in hospital pharmacy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • 2 years lead, supervisory, or management experience preferred
