Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the pharmacist in promoting an organized and functional pharmacy service
  • Prepares medications for dispensing and maintains records

Requirements:

  • 1 year hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred (completion of an Accredited Technician training course may substitute for experience)
  • Working knowledge of computer systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License (Kansas), Certification (Colorado or Utah), Provisional Certification (Colorado), or Provisional License (Utah) Required. Provisional Certifications must obtain State Certification within 12 months
  • Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
