Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) and minimum of 2 years related experience, upon hire or
Registered Pharmacist with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy in good standing-(RPH)
1+ year of supervisory or lead experience or successful completion of a Pharmacy Administrative Residency

Job Responsibility

Lead pharmacy operations, including workflow and performance
Meticulously review prescriptions for safety (interactions, dosing, allergies), authorize them for technicians, and perform final dispensing checks, ensuring expert oversight
Collaborate with doctors/nurses, providing expertise to optimize patient treatment and enhance services
Plans and evaluates the day-to-day operations of the department to meet the financial objectives in labor, revenue and gross margins
Oversees daily workload and ensures the department is adequately and appropriately staffed
Monitors labor budget/expenses, identifies variances and takes corrective action to remedy within designated scope of authority
Develops, in conjunction with manager, programs, policies and procedures to maximize pharmacy usage and enhance customer service
Ensures inventory control measures are being followed in accordance with department standards
Ensures staff are compliant with policies and procedures
May serve as the Pharmacy representative in management, administrative and/or interdisciplinary meetings
