Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Sales Specialist, you will represent Baxter's pharmacy portfolio and products, focusing on building relationships with hospital pharmacy staff, achieving sales metrics, and supporting new product launches in the assigned territory of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. Your role involves analyzing market data, implementing sales strategies, and promoting the Baxter Culture through professional interactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working autonomously to achieve sales quotas and metrics through direct promotion and sale of pharmacy portfolio
  • calling on current and prospective hospital customers with a primary focus on pharmacy department
  • providing technical product information
  • managing customer contracts and prices
  • supporting new product launches
  • monitoring sales against forecasts
  • implementing sales strategies to attain assigned sales volume
  • participating in the determination of market potential
  • working closely with regional manager, customer service, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • providing customer feedback to sales and marketing personnel
  • promoting the Baxter Culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree with 3+ years experience or 6+ years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous hospital pharmacy sales experience is preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication, both written and oral
  • negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
  • ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies
  • ability to understand and adapt to customer changing needs
  • strong business acumen and knowledge of sales processes
  • must live within the territory
  • must have a valid driver’s license
  • at least 50% travel is required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas.
