Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Manager at CVS Health, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care, manage pharmacy operations, identify performance opportunities, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines, and support innovative patient care programs.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching
Supporting accurate prescription fulfillment and safety guardrails
Enhancing positive patient experiences by resolving insurance and medication issues and demonstrating care
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Managing pharmacy inventory and ensuring compliance with inventory guidelines
Conducting new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding and training
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Providing annual performance reviews and addressing team performance issues
Writing or overseeing pharmacy schedules
Regularly reviewing operational insights and developing action plans
Establishing a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion
Supporting patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care
Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, CVS Health policies, and ethical principles.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Attention to confirm prescription information and label accuracy ensuring patient safety
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients’ reactions and respond appropriately
Verbal and written communication skills
Active listening skills
Mathematical reasoning to solve problems such as determining tablets to dispense
Problem resolution skills to address challenging patient or colleague interactions
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Physical capability to lift up to 20 lbs and move items between low and high positions
Close visual acuity for tasks like reading or inspecting small parts
Flexibility in scheduling and business needs
Ability to lead, coach, and inspire teammates to achieve high performance.

Nice to have:

Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program
3-5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations to meet business need.
