Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices, managing performance, ensuring compliance, and cultivating a culture of safety and inclusion while enhancing pharmacy operations.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching and follow-up
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Creating positive patient experiences
Proactively delivering immunizations
Overseeing pharmacy inventory management
Conducting new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Building a healthy talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues
Managing performance of Staff Pharmacists or District Support Pharmacists
Reviewing business reporting for operational insights
Establishing a culture of safety and inclusion
Maintaining relevant clinical skills for the role
Supporting pharmacist-delivered clinical care
Complying with federal and state laws and regulations
Leading the pharmacy team through positive example and direct supervision.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
Actively look for ways to help people
Notice and understand patients’ reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action.

Nice to have:

Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program
3-5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations.
