Phil is seeking a highly experienced Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead and oversee the operations of our pharmacy in Hebron, KY. This role will be responsible for managing a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians while ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant dispensing of medications to patients. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the PIC will ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and high standards of patient care within a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight for pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal and state pharmacy laws, including proper handling of controlled substances, accurate record-keeping, and audit readiness
Dispensing & Quality Control: Oversee accurate and timely medication dispensing, conducting regular audits to uphold safety and quality standards
Inventory Management: Manage ordering, stocking, and storage of pharmaceutical inventory to maintain optimal levels and prevent stockouts or waste
Patient & Provider Support: Deliver clinical consultations and medication counseling, serving as a resource to both patients and healthcare providers
Staff Development: Promote ongoing learning and best practices across the pharmacy team to support performance and growth
Operational Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor financial health, and implement improvements to drive efficiency
Requirements:
Active and unrestricted Kentucky Pharmacist License (required)
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution preferred
5+ years of pharmacy experience, with at least 2+ years in a management or PIC role
Deep knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, including controlled substances and audit preparedness
Proven leadership skills with experience managing high-performing pharmacy teams
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
High Volume Mail Order or Closed Door Pharmacy operations experience preferred
Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and digital workflows is a plus
Nice to have:
