Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your education and training in a real-world setting. You will support pharmacy operations, ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly, and provide caring service to exceed patient expectations. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap and gain hands-on experience to prepare for a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include assisting with patient safety, inventory management, health services like immunizations, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
completing basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
contributing to a high-performing team and embracing a growth mindset
remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
delivering additional patient health care services, where allowable by law

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
