Job Responsibility:
Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences
Follow all company SOPs at each workstation
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescriber and call prescriber to clarify or facilitate medication changes
Maintain self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to team members
Complete basic inventory activities as directed
Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace growth mindset, be receptive to feedback
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies
Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable
Support immunizations including completing additional licensure, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, reviewing patient information
Requirements:
Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time, pivot quickly from one task to another, confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, notice and understand patients’ reactions, respond appropriately
Communication Skills: Use verbal and written communication, utilize active listening
Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to use math to solve a problem
Problem Resolution: Identifying challenging interactions and choosing best course of action
Physical Demands: Be mobile for extended periods, lift/scan/bag items, reach overhead, move fingers repetitively, extend hands/arms, control precision, stoop, close visual acuity, occasionally lift up to 20 lbs, frequently lift up to 10 lbs, consistantly lift negligible amount, express or exchange ideas by spoken word, receive detailed information through oral communication
Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
