Our 3rd year Pharmacy Interns play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise, while developing their own skills in preparation for increasing responsibility.
Job Responsibility:
Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences at each pharmacy workstation
Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit information on patient's medical history
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescriber
Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Contribute to a high-performing team
Understand and comply with all relevant laws and regulations
Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable
Support immunizations including completing additional licensure and training
Requirements:
Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
