Job Description:

The Graduate Pharmacy Intern role at CVS Health involves working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment, managing patient care programs, and supporting the pharmacy team. This position emphasizes patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, and leadership development. Applicants should have or be in the process of obtaining a relevant licensure and possess strong communication skills.

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Reach overhead to grasp items
  • Precision control to adjust machines
  • Stoop to move items between low and high positions
  • Have close visual acuity for tasks like transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or reading
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • Obtain required pharmacist licensure within required timeframe per state guidelines

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • 3-5 years prior relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
