Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, the role involves working as part of a pharmacy team to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment by delivering exceptional care to patients. Responsibilities include promoting patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, and inventory management. The position fosters continuous learning in a culture of improvement, with a focus on changing healthcare for the better.

Job Responsibility:

Lead with heart, displaying empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
Align others around the mission to improve health and gain support and commitment
Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
Keeping customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs
Workflow management excluding final prescription verification.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to have finger dexterity, reach overhead, and stoop to a considerable degree
Visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading
Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs, using up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
