Job Description:

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will be focused on applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice, preparing for a Pharmacist role. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap, assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to patient care. Responsibilities include fulfilling prescriptions, providing empathetic service, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supporting additional healthcare services.

Job Responsibility:

Following all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and calling the prescriber to clarify prescriptions
Providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
