Job Description:

Graduate Pharmacy Interns at CVS Health support pharmacy teams to deliver exceptional patient care and develop their skills in preparation for a Pharmacist role. This position involves training, workplace collaboration, inventory management, assisting pharmacists, providing health care services, and meeting compliance standards.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
offering to counsel and fielding medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
assisting in maintaining pharmacy inventory activities as directed
contributing to a high-performing team and embracing feedback
responding to patient needs and escalating problems when needed
complying with federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies
delivering patient health care services where allowable under training and certification

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
attention and focus
customer service and team orientation
communication skills
mathematical reasoning
problem resolution
physical demands

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
