Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will support pharmacy teams in delivering high-quality and compassionate service while gaining hands-on experience. You will follow training roadmaps, assist with pharmacy operations, ensure patient safety, and develop your skills to transition into a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, inventory activities, and delivering additional health care services like immunizations.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history to provide optimal care
Completing basic inventory activities such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Contributing to a high-performing team and embracing a growth mindset
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
