Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply pharmacy school learning to real-world practice, preparing for a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include supporting the pharmacy team in delivering prescriptions safely and accurately, providing patient care, assisting with inventory tasks, and supporting immunizations where allowable by law. Training, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities are provided.

Job Responsibility:

Helping Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Providing compassionate patient care including solving problems and offering counseling
Handling telephonic prescriptions and coordinating with prescribers
Assisting with inventory activities such as cycle counts
Remaining flexible with scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
Supporting immunizations where permissible

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
