Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy environment while providing exceptional care to patients. The role involves adopting and managing patient care programs and contributing to workflows without conducting final prescription verifications. You will participate in a culture of improvement aiming to change healthcare for the better.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure patient safety
Comply with pharmacy professional practices, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance
Provide customer service
Manage pharmacy inventory
Handle workflow management excluding final prescription verification
Strive to provide patient immunizations subject to state regulations

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Lift, scan, and bag items
Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
Reach overhead
Extend hand(s) and arm(s) to place, move, or lift items
Precision control: Adjust machines to exact positions
Stoop to a considerable degree requiring the use of lower extremities and back muscles
Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity for tasks like reading or viewing a computer screen
Oral communication skills to instruct colleagues and customers
Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
