Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply pharmacy education into real-world practice and prepare for a Pharmacist role through comprehensive training and hands-on experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • understanding and complying with federal, state, and local laws
  • delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations
  • voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
  • must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
  • ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
  • actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
  • utilize active listening
  • mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations
  • problem resolution capabilities
  • physical demands including mobility, repetitive finger movements, lifting items, and close visual acuity
  • compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Nice to have:

  • 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • ability to become immunization certified
  • proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
