Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your pharmacy school learning into real-world practice. You will focus on developing your skills for a future Pharmacist role, interacting directly with patients, learning pharmacy workflows, and providing high-quality care. This role encompasses patient safety, compliance with federal and state regulations, clinical knowledge, and customer service, all in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history to provide optimal care
Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Contributing to a high-performing team
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
