Job Description:

The Pharmacy Intern role at CVS Health helps 3rd year pharmacy students apply their skills in a real-world setting. Responsibilities include supporting the pharmacy team, contributing to safe and accurate prescription management, maintaining inventory, delivering patient care, and engaging in team development. Additional duties involve adherence to legal and ethical guidelines and providing immunizations where permissible.

Job Responsibility:

Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
maintaining inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
delivering additional healthcare services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing where permissible

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
ability to work in home store and across the market
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
