Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will play a significant role as part of the pharmacy team in providing safe and effective care under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and facilitating a team culture of empathy, energy, and pride. Requirements:

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Dexterity, including picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm
  • Ability to reach overhead, extend hands or arms to grasp items
  • Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Stoop to a considerable degree, bend spine, and use back muscles to move items
  • Visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
  • exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, or 10 lbs frequently, or negligible amounts constantly to move objects

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Pharmacy interns should provide immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function (once state regulations are met)
