Job Description:

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will gain hands-on experience through training, apply learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice, and support pharmacy teams in delivering accurate prescriptions and high-quality care to patients. You’ll be immersed in a culture of continuous improvement, develop your skills, and prepare for a Pharmacist role while gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, filling prescriptions safely and accurately, providing empathetic patient care, contributing to team performance, and adhering to legal and company standards.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history to provide optimal care under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
embracing a growth mindset and actively seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs and traveling to stores as needed by the business
understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and professional standards
delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where permissible

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
