Pharmacy Intern

• offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information
• taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber or calling the prescriber to clarify prescriptions
• maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing coaching, training, and mentoring
• completing basic inventory activities
• contributing to a high-performing team and embracing a growth mindset
• understanding and complying with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• delivering additional patient health care services where permissible
• completing additional licensure and training requirements to support immunizations
• educating patients about vaccines and answering questions to obtain informed consent
• monitoring for, and responding to, adverse reactions
• reviewing and collecting patient information for vaccines

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
• must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• ability to become immunization certified
• ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations
• proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
