Job Description:

A 3rd year pharmacy intern position at CVS Health where you will develop skills through immersive learning programs and hands-on experience in retail pharmacy operations. The role emphasizes customer care, operational accuracy, and contributing to team success while complying with safety, ethical, and legal standards.

Job Responsibility:

Completing a comprehensive training roadmap to gain aptitude in pharmacy operations
assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, including safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
providing empathetic customer service and personalized care
assisting in pharmacy workflows at workstations such as production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off
supporting immunization services where permissible by law
assisting with inventory activities such as medication deliveries and cycle counts
maintaining compliance with laws, regulations, and CVS policies
contributing to a high-performing team environment
traveling to support other stores in the market as needed.

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
attention and focus, including concentrating on tasks, switching between tasks as needed, and ensuring prescription information and label accuracy
customer service and team orientation, including looking for ways to help people and responding appropriately to patient reactions
verbal and written communication skills
mathematical reasoning to solve problems related to prescriptions
problem resolution abilities for handling challenging interactions
physical demands such as mobility, finger dexterity, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified as required by state regulations
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
