Job Description:

As a graduate pharmacist intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to deliver purpose, model values, and demonstrate genuine care for patients. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, managing inventory, providing customer service, and promoting a culture of excellence. The role also involves striving to improve outcomes, facilitating team collaboration, and adopting patient care programs.

support your Pharmacy manager in motivating, inspiring, and developing their Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize colleagues’ strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
0-3 years prior relevant work experience
must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
ability to lift, scan, and bag items
ability to use finger dexterity for activities like picking, pinching, and typing
ability to reach overhead, extend hand(s) and arm(s) in multiple directions
ability to perform precision control tasks
ability to stoop and bend to move items between low and high positions
visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts
ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within required timeframe per state guidelines
ability to complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
ability to complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
3-5 years prior relevant work experience
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
once state regulations are met, Grad interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
