Job Description:

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern, you will contribute to patient health by supporting pharmacy operations, participating in training, working directly under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, and assisting with patient care services such as immunizations and prescription fulfillment. This role offers hands-on experience designed to prepare pharmacy interns for increasing responsibility within the field, all while embracing a team-oriented and inclusive workplace culture.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and calling the prescriber to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes
Maintaining self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities
Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and actively seeking opportunities to expand clinical knowledge
Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
