Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, you will play a significant role working as part of the pharmacy team—delivering our purpose, modeling values, and demonstrating care for patients. Responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and customer service under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements:

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Ability to reach overhead, stretch or reach out with body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • Precision control: ability to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop to considerable degree requiring use of lower extremities and back muscles to move items
  • Visual acuity: close visual acuity to perform activities like transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, or inspecting small parts
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
  • Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
  • Complete all required training and obtain licensure within state guidelines.
