Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern working at CVS Health under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment. Responsibilities include patient safety, professional practice in pharmacy, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow oversight. The role focuses on helping patients on their path to better health, advising on prescriptions, and adopting patient care programs.

Requirements:

Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
0-3 years relevant work experience
Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Strong communication and presentation skills
Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, such as typing or handling small parts
Ability to reach overhead and extend arms in multiple directions
Ability to bend spine at the waist and stoop to move items
Ability to perform activities requiring close visual acuity such as reading or viewing a computer terminal
Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and exert up to 10 lbs of force frequently

Nice to have:

Immunization eligibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Pharmacy interns striving to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met
